Cleaned & Tested Polaroid 600 OneStep - Upcycled Green, Yellow, Red, and Blue With Close Up And Flash Built-In

Ask a question

If you follow me on Instagram, you will recognize this actual camera from a couple events in December in the San Francisco area for my wife's Pinup shoots. I have refreshed the internal components again, but just a fun fact about the life this camera has lived.

This camera creates either Color or Black and White prints depending on the film cartridge you use. The print next to the camera is one I just took using New Color film from Polaroid Originals.

This is a vintage Polaroid 600 OneStep. Opening the camera reveals the lens, flash, close-up lens and light/dark adjustment slider. I cleaned the lenses and viewfinder, cleared out the internal workings of any vintage dust, replaced worn mechanical parts, cleaned the rollers, and then updated with a bit of fun Green, Yellow, Red and Blue.

The earlier Polaroid 600 took pictures of things 4 feet or further away. This model has a Close Up lens built in. When used, it is possible to take pictures between 2 and 4 feet away too.

The flash is powered through the battery in the film cartridge so there is no worries of leaking batteries. This version of the Polaroid 600 has a second shutter button so you can take pictures with or without the flash. On top of the camera is the indicator that shows when the flash is ready.

New film (this camera uses the 600 Style cartridges) is available from Polaroid Originals, in black-and-white or color prints and a variety of frame choices. The rubber of the view finder eye sight and the neck strap are both in nice condition too. A fun camera that is ready to use, or show on your display shelf.

I have posted the manual for the 600 OneStep on my site:

Repair/Replace 6 month warranty.
I do not offer a refund on any of the cameras I sell. For the Polaroid cameras, I do offer to repair or replace a camera if it has issues within 6 months from purchase date. While I do a final test after assembling the camera by taking actual print photos, these are vintage cameras so little parts can fail after a short time. When this happens, please contact me so I know about the issue, then ship the camera to me. As long as the camera only shows normal wear, no abuse, I will either repair the camera or replace it at no charge to you. I will also pay to ship the camera back to you.
