Red Rainbow Polaroid Sun 600 - Works Great, Tested and Cleaned

This camera creates either Color or Black-and-White prints depending on the cartridge you use. The photo print shown next to the camera is one that I shot with this camera just before I created this post. The Red is a fun bit of Upcycle I did while I had the camera apart.

This Polaroid Sun 600 Rainbow Camera takes photos of things at 4 feet or further away, with a nice automatic fill flash. The flash has charging and charged/ready indicators on top of the camera. The power for the flash comes from the battery in the film cartridge so there is no issues with leaking batteries. There is also a second shutter button for taking pictures without the flash.

New Film (600 style) for the Polaroid is available through The Impossible Project in a wide variety of frame designs.

This camera has a original Polaroid neck strap, rubber view finder eye piece and working shot counter. I cleaned the rollers, lenses, checked and replaced inside mechanical bits as needed and shot photos as a final test. There is a slider on the front of the camera to use to get a photo when the background of the photographed area is over bright or over dark.
