Talking Polaroid 600 OneStep With Close Up And Flash Built-In - Upcycled With Red

Ask a question

This camera creates either Color or Black-and-White prints depending on the film cartridge you use. I used New Color Impossible Project film for the test prints, one of those prints out of this camera can be seen next to it.

The "Talking" Polaroid 600 is only slightly larger than the regular 600 OneStep. Along the top of the flash housing is a variety of options to have the camera say a phrase when you press the shutter button to take a photo. There are three recordings that Polaroid pre-installed. Also, there is a button to record a second three that are your custom phrases. That could be a lot of fun at a party. The feature is powered via the battery in the film cartridge so there is no additional batteries required.

Opening the camera reveals its lens, flash, close-up lens and light/dark adjustment slider. I cleaned the lenses and viewfinder, cleared out the internal workings of any vintage dust, replaced parts as needed, cleaned the rollers, and then updated with a bit of fun Red to match the factory Polaroid face lettering.

After cleaning, I tested the camera with new Impossible Project 600 film to make sure everything is working as expected. New film from The Impossible Project is available in Color or Black-and-White prints with a variety of fun frame choices.

This Polaroid camera has a indicator on top that lights when the flash is charged. The battery for the flash is built into the film cartridge so there is no worry about leaking batteries. There is a second shutter button also that will allow you to take a picture without the flash - nice for those times there is a very reflective surface.

While the regular Polaroid 600 takes photos of things 4 feet away or further. This 600 OneStep model has a Close Up lens built in. Slide the lever over and you can take pictures of thing down to just over 2 feet away!

The rubber of the view finder eye sight and the neck strap are both in nice condition too. A fun camera that is ready to use, or show on your display shelf.

I have posted the manual for the 600 OneStep on my site:

Repair/Replace 6 month warranty.
I do not offer a refund on any of the cameras I sell. For the Polaroid cameras, I do offer to repair or replace a camera if it has issues within 6 months from purchase date. While I do a final test after assembling the camera by taking actual print photos, these are vintage cameras so little parts can fail after a short time. When this happens, please contact me so I know about the issue, then ship the camera to me. As long as the camera only shows normal wear, no abuse, I will either repair the camera or replace it at no charge to you. I will also pay to ship the camera back to you.
