Retro Green Polaroid Autofocus 600 - Cleaned, Tested - Works and Looks Great

Sorry, this item has sold.

This Polaroid Autofocus camera produces Color or Black-and-White prints depending on the film cartridge used. Next to the camera is a photo I just took with this camera using New Polaroid Originals Color film.

There are several different types of Polaroid 600 OneStep cameras. Most people think of the AutoFocus version as having the big gold Sonar focus on the front. The model here is a lesser known version that uses light from the camera flash, bouncing off the object your taking a photo of back to the camera to focus. Another great Polaroid design.

No need for a 'Close Up' lens, this camera will focus down to closer than the Close Up lens does. So, there is little to adjust, the OneStep AutoFocus does everything for you. Just open and shoot. The built in flash is powered from the battery in the film pack, so you don't have to worry about leaking batteries. It auto adjusts to only be as bright as it needs for the subject your photographing. An indicator on top of the camera shows green when the flash is charged and ready. Press the shutter button and out comes an instant print (the second shutter button, normally to take photos without the flash, is disabled from Polaroid since the camera requires the flash to focus). There is a switch on the front of the camera face to manually adjust when there is over bright/dark backgrounds.

While the camera was apart for cleaning and inspection, I checked and replaced as needed the internal mechanical parts, cleaned the rollers and the lenses/view finder.

The view finder rubber eye piece and the neck strap are both in great shape. The Retro Green is a bit of color I added when I had the camera apart.

I have posted the manual for the 600 OneStep Autofocus on my site: http://www.upcycledclassic.com/manuals/
