This camera shoots both Color and Black-and-White film depending on the film cartridge you use. The print next to the camera is one I just took using New Color film from The Impossible Project.
This is a vintage Polaroid 600 OneStep. Opening the camera reveals the lens, flash, close-up lens and light/dark adjustment slider. I cleaned the lenses and viewfinder, cleared out the internal workings of any vintage dust, cleaned the rollers, and then updated with a bit of fun Yellow, Green, Red and Blue.
The earlier Polaroid 600 took pictures of things 4 feet or further away. This model has a Close Up lens built in. When used, it is possible to take pictures between 2 and 4 feet away too.
The flash is powered through the battery in the film cartridge so there is no worries of leaking batteries. This version of the Polaroid 600 has a second shutter button so you can take pictures with or without the flash. On top of the camera is the indicator that shows when the flash is ready.
After cleaning, I tested the camera with new Impossible Project 600 film to make sure everything is working. New film is available from The Impossible Project, in black-and-white or color prints. The rubber of the view finder eye sight and the neck strap are both in nice condition too. A fun camera that is ready to use, or show on your display shelf.
I have posted the manual for the 600 OneStep on my site: http://www.upcycledclassic.com/manuals/
